Today I found a very modern house that is located in Cancoon, Mexico. The architect, Carlos Armando del Castillo A, has made an amazing job combining both industrial and modern architecture into one. The material used for this project is mainly concrete in different forms, polished and glossed in the interior floors and raw polished in the exterior.

The house plan, both indoor and outdoor, is very open and welcoming and it flows seamlessly between the rooms and the outdoors. This house is however not for a family with small children, but if you have older children or are a couple without children it really is a perfect home with a lot of inviting light.

Overall it is a perfect house for gatherings, events and hanging out with friends.

French Apartment in LYON

I’m just amazed by images of this gorgeous apartment in Lyon, a French goodie. I really had to share it with you guys and I hope that you get inspired and astonished.

This goodie belongs to Stéphane Garotin and Pierre Emmanuel Martin. The beautiful original parquet floors are just heavenly for me.

Please have a look and enjoy the party.

Fanny and Pascal François lives near Lille, in France, in an old Waffle Factory.

This couple has transformed this factory building, for a new generation, into a beautiful, modern family apartment with industrial character. The interior style is very Scandinavian and of course with a 1950s industrial touch. The loft has a softness that gives off a relaxed, welcoming vibe and it really looks cozy and different.

With the help of the firm Bo Architectures; François wanted demolish all the unnecessary walls and  create a large open space for the kitchen, dining room and living room. They are now situated in one large open space. The result is absolutely breath taking.

Pantone – Color Report

I’m a summer girl. I really love how summer makes med feel. The bright colors and not talk about the sun. Don’t get me wrong, I love winter too but if I had to choose I would say summer any time. There is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kind of weather. So my beautiful friend always bring your own sunshine, wherever you are or wherever you go, no matter what the weather is. Always put a big smile on that beautiful face of yours.

Quite recently I read a fashion color Report for the spring 2016 and the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute Leatrice Eiseman said:

“Colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves. With our culture still surrounded by so much uncertainty, we are continuing to yearn for those softer shades that offer a sense of calm and relaxation.”

Pantone has for the first time in 15 years I believe chosen two colors of the year. The duo chosen is Serenity and Rose Quartz. A blue palette and a very soft pink.

“Joined together, Serenity and Rose Quartz demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace,” said Leatrice Eiseman in a press release.

My handsome husband loves to surprise me and just the other day he came home with this gorgeous Swarovski champagne bottle. Let me tell you boy he surprised me, like he always does.

You can of course have one or several beautiful bottles as interior detail in your home. You can always buy Swarovski crystals and personalize a bottle   with your message to that special one. Who wouldn’t appreciate the effort…

So treat yourself or someone you love with similar bottle. I know I will, why?! Because i’m worth it and so are you.

Cheers and love/T

In my earlier post I wrote about how trendy marble is in the interior world. My favorite New York City-based design studio, Apparatus by Jeremy Anderson and Gabriel Hendifar, has recently launched a new collection of Italian marble; NEO. The Neo Marble line comes with a beautiful large bowl, and a lamp in three different sizes, small, medium and large. They come in two colors, black and white. Breathtaking!

I love lingering over meals with family and friends especially during the holiday season. For me the kitchen is the heart of the home. So right now I’m looking for the right lightning for our dining table. The options are to buy one or design one. I’m  pleased to celebrate the architect Mr Ramón Esteve, who designed this magical residence on a cliffside over the Mediterranean sea in Jávea, Spain.

Everything with this house is marvelous and very thought through. The outdoor is magical and enchanting, not to mention the inside, which measures up fully with the outdoor. One thing is certain: I love stone or concrete walls and Mr Esteve designed the house with a lot of concrete.

Privacy is important right?! This house is very open, spacious and with a lot of glass but the entrance of the house is very private and more closed off that the rest of it. Well done Mr Esteve!

There is of course an infinity edge pool, which is a swimming or reflecting pool which produces a visual effect of water extending to the horizon. You can also see the outside pool with a large glass that connects it to the indoor pool area. The light passes through the glass panel, which brings a sense of the outdoors to the indoor pool. Besides the pool; the basement level houses guest bedrooms, a gym, a sauna, a dressing room, service and parking areas.

Throughout the years I have noticed that people, or buyers, first and foremost want beautiful design and architecture; something that makes them feel unique or even better something that is both unique and customized. This breathtaking house is for sure one of a kind.
